In The Art of Daley Cooking, Sisters Clodeth and Joselina bring you home cooking with a Costa Rican flare. This compilation of their family’s favorite recipes—gleaned from their mother and uncle—brings together cooking styles from around the world with a Central American twist. For years, our parents and our uncle Reynolds hosted parties at their homes,cooking everything themselves. There was no calling the caterer; they were the caterers. Today, we sisters do the same; our children help with the chopping and peeling. Those who have had the pleasure of eating Caribbean food at our gatherings are quick to ask where they can get some. They always express their love for it. Our children, family friends, and neighbors all hail our food.
